  • Path of Exile 2: How To Get & Use Fracturing OrbsPosted: Apr 24,2025

Fracturing Orbs are a new item in Path of Exile 2, and an important part of the game's progression. Fracturing Orbs were introduced as part of the 0.2.0 update, Dawn of the Hunt. A recurring mechanic from the original Path of Exile, collecting them is a new kind of endgame activity that can help bolster your best gear and expand the possibilities for your build when you need it most. Unlike other important currencies and crafting materials in Path of Exile 2, many of which are dropped randomly and cannot be specifically farmed, there's really only one known way to get Fracturing Orbs in PoE 2, and it's a relatively easy task to take on. In case you're interested in racking up some of these unique crafting materials and reaping their benefits, here's how I'd recommend going about getting Fracturing Orbs in Path of Exile 2. How To Get Fracturing Orbs You can begin collecting Fracturing Orbs once you've reached the endgame and unlocked PoE 2's Atlas of Worlds. This is essentially a map you can explore at will, traveling to and unlocking various nodes to gather loot and improve your character. Once you're on the Atlas, you'll first want to find a Corrupted Nexus. Look for a map node with a red icon featuring a sort of veiny pattern that looks a little like the classic Windows 3D pipes screensaver. Travel to any corrupted map node and clear the map, defeating the final boss - whatever it happens to be. As soon as you return, you'll note that nearby nodes now register as "cleansed" on the Atlas. This means their modifiers have been reset and their enemies respawned, allowing you to return and complete them again with new sets of challenges. Each time you defeat a cleansed enemy, there's a chance a Fracturing Orb will drop. However, do note that these items are still pretty rare, and there's no guarantee you'll get one for every kill. If you're having trouble finding them, some players are selling theirs via the official Path of Exile 2 Trade marketplace; they're typically going for 70-80 Divine Orbs at the time of writing. How To Use Fracturing Orbs As their name implies, Fracturing Orbs "fracture" different modifiers on certain pieces of gear, locking them in permanently despite any other crafting or improvements you may try to do. In other words, whichever modifier is fractured can no longer be altered by a Chaos Orb, Divine Orb, Orb of Annulment or Vaal Orb. However, do note that the fractured modifier is always chosen at random, and that Fractured Orbs only work on items that have four or more modifiers. In other words, you'll only have a 25% chance, at most, of fracturing a particular modifier any time you use a Fractured Orb on a piece of equipment. You may completely waste one by activating it on an item with just one preferable modifier, only to have it lock in one that's completely useless to your PoE 2 build, effectively destroying the item. For these reasons, I'd recommend only using Fracturing Orbs on items that aren't totally necessary to your build. Maybe you've found an armor piece with one modifier you really want, along with three useless ones - use the Fracturing Orb, cross your fingers, and if you don't get what you want, decon and move on. Fracturing Orbs can be incredibly useful if applied correctly, especially when combined with Orbs of Annulment. Using these two items in conjunction functionally allows you to customize your equipment's modifiers, although there's still a great deal of RNG involved, and you're never guaranteed to get the desired result. Still, they can have a lot of utility for any Path of Exile 2 build. Visit our website POESTORE to buy POE 2 Currency at the cheapest rate on the web. • The Headhunter in Path of Exile 2: Why It’s Still the Ultimate Chase ItemPosted: Apr 21,2025

Few items in Path of Exile history carry the same legendary status as Headhunter—and in Path of Exile 2, it remains one of the most powerful, game-changing, and highly sought-after pieces of gear. While it’s been slightly nerfed from its PoE 1 iteration, Headhunter’s core mechanic—stealing rare monster modifiers—still makes it an S-tier belt for endgame mapping, boss rushing, and high-octane gameplay. If you’re chasing this iconic item, here’s everything you need to know—from why it’s so strong to the best ways to get one. Why Headhunter Is Still Broken (Even After Nerfs) Headhunter isn’t just about raw stats—it’s about transforming your character into an unstoppable force by absorbing the powers of slain rare enemies. Key Benefits: ✔ 40-60 Max Life, 20-40 Strength, 20-40 Dexterity – Solid baseline stats for survivability and scaling. ✔ Steals Rare Monster Mods for 20 Seconds – The real reason Headhunter dominates. Gain onslaught, soul eater, haste, extra projectiles, and more—turning you into a temporary god. Stacking buffs snowballs clearspeed, making it the best belt for mapping. Why It’s Still Meta in PoE 2 Scales with monster density – More rares = more buffs = faster farming. Works with almost any build – Melee, ranged, casters—if you kill rares, Headhunter turbocharges you. Unmatched speed & survivability – Buffs like % increased life, resistances, and damage reduction make you nearly unkillable. How to Get Headhunter in Path of Exile 2 Unfortunately, Headhunter remains one of the rarest drops in PoE 2. There’s no guaranteed method, but here are your best options: 1. Pure RNG Drops (The Hard Way) Drops in late-game (Cruel+ difficulty). Only from level 50+ enemies. Extremely low chance—expect to grind hundreds of maps before seeing one. 2. Orb of Chance Spamming (The Grindy Way) Use Orbs of Chance on Heavy Belts for a small chance to roll Headhunter. How to farm Orbs of Chance:Run high-tier maps for raw drops, Vendor duplicate uniques for Chance Shards, Ultimatum/Chaos Trials sometimes reward them 3. Trials of Chaos (High-Risk, High-Reward) Inscribed Ultimatums can drop corrupted Headhunters. Corrupted mods can be good or bad—no re-rolling! Best for players who enjoy gambling. 4. Trading (The Fastest Way… If You're Rich) Current estimated price (as of PoE 2 launch): 2-1000 Divine Orbs, 500-1,000 Exalted Orbs and 1 Mirror of Kalandra (for perfect rolls) Check the official trade marketplace for deals. Is Headhunter Worth the Grind? ✅ Best-in-slot for mapping & speed farming. ✅ Makes juiced content feel effortless. ✅ One of the most fun items in PoE history. ❌ Extremely rare—expect a long grind. ❌ Not ideal for boss-only farming (needs rare packs). ❌ Corrupted versions can brick your build. Verdict: If you love fast-paced, high-reward gameplay, Headhunter is 100% worth chasing. But if you prefer bossing or SSF (Solo Self-Found), other belts might serve you better. Final Tip: How to Maximize Headhunter's Power Run dense maps (Breach, Legion, Delirium). Prioritize rare monsters over bosses. Use Inspired Learning jewels (if available) to stack more buffs. Headhunter isn't just an item—it's an experience. Once you try it, PoE 2 will never feel the same. • Path of Exile 2 Crafting Guide: Master the BasicsPosted: Apr 18,2025

crafting in Path of Exile 2 might seem like a puzzle at first, but once you understand the core mechanics, you'll be upgrading your gear like a pro. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about item rarities, crafting currencies (Orbs), and how to match gear to your character's needs. Understanding Item Rarities Items in PoE 2 come in four different rarity levels, each with its own strengths: Normal (White) – Basic items with no special modifiers. These are your starting point for crafting. Magic (Blue) – Slightly better, with up to one Prefix and one Suffix (explained below). Rare (Yellow) – Powerful items with up to three Prefixes and three Suffixes, offering multiple bonuses. Unique (Orange) – Legendary items with fixed, game-changing effects. These can't be crafted normally. You'll mostly find Normal and Magic items as random drops early on. Rare and Unique items become more common in later stages of the game, especially from tough enemies and bosses. Affixes: Prefixes vs. Suffixes Every Magic or Rare item has Affixes—bonuses that improve your gear. These come in two types: Prefixes (listed first) – Usually boost offensive stats like damage, attack speed, or spell power. Suffixes (listed after) – Typically enhance defenses such as resistances, armor, or evasion. A Rare item can have up to six Affixes (three of each type), making them highly valuable for strong builds. Essential Crafting Orbs & How to Use Them Crafting revolves around Orbs, special currencies that modify your items. Here are the most important ones: Basic Upgrades Transmutation Orb – Turns a Normal item into a Magic one (adds one random Affix). Augmentation Orb – Adds one more Affix to a Magic item (if it has space). Alchemy Orb – Instantly upgrades a Normal item to Rare (with four random Affixes). Advanced Crafting Regal Orb – Upgrades a Magic item to Rare (adding one extra Affix). Exalted Orb – Adds one more random Affix to a Rare item (if it has fewer than six). Orb of Annulment – Removes one random Affix (useful for deleting bad modifiers). Chaos Orb – Rerolls all Affixes on a Rare item randomly (high risk, high reward). Divine Orb – Rerolls the values of existing Affixes (keeping the same modifiers). Vaal Orb – Corrupts an item, making powerful but unpredictable changes (and locking further crafting). How to Craft Step-by-Step Start with a Normal (White) item. Use a Transmutation Orb to make it Magic (Blue). Add another Affix with an Augmentation Orb (if needed). Upgrade to Rare (Yellow) using a Regal Orb or skip straight with an Alchemy Orb. Improve further with Exalted Orbs or reroll with Chaos Orbs for better stats. Pro Tip: Transmutation, Augmentation, and Alchemy Orbs are common early on. Save rarer Orbs (Exalted, Divine) for your best gear. Matching Gear to Your Build Different classes benefit from different stats: Strength-based (Warrior, Mercenary) – Look for +Armor and +Life modifiers. Dexterity-based (Ranger, Monk) – Prioritize +Evasion and +Accuracy. Intelligence-based (Sorceress, Witch) – Focus on +Energy Shield and +Spell Damage. Always check an item’s Affixes before equipping it—does it fit your playstyle? Hybrid classes (like the Mercenary) may need a mix of stats. Final Crafting Tips ✔ Start small – Use common Orbs early and save rare ones for endgame. ✔ Balance offense & defense – A good Rare item has both strong Prefixes and Suffixes. ✔ Experiment wisely – Some of the best gear comes from risky crafting moves! With this guide, you're ready to dive into Path of Exile 2 crafting with confidence. Happy looting, Exile! 🔨⚡ Visit our website POESTORE to buy POE 2 Currency at the cheapest rate on the web. • Best Monk build in Path of Exile 2Posted: Apr 15,2025

Now that we're a month into Path of Exile 2’s early access, the strongest builds are becoming clearer, and the dual Herald Invoker stands out as my personal favorite. This build combines incredible clearspeed, great boss damage, and solid survivability, thanks to one of the game's most powerful Ascendancy nodes: Protect Me from Harm. There's some flexibility in how to design the Invoker, whether through Ice Strike, Storm Wave, or Tempest Flurry. Regardless of the chosen skill, the core mechanics remain consistent—convert massive amounts of physical damage into cold and lightning elements to shock and freeze enemies, triggering Herald of Thunder and Herald of Ice to annihilate screens full of monsters. For boss fights, Tempest Bell adds an extra layer of devastation, making this build capable of tearing through nearly any challenge in the game. I based my Invoker build on Tuadh’s excellent guide, opting for Tempest Flurry as the primary skill. Tuadh's Profane Ritual tech for gaining power charges cleverly solves that particular challenge, and it has carried me through pinnacle content despite my self-confessed slow reflexes. However, one notable weakness is simulacrum—since monsters don't leave corpses, Profane Ritual has no fuel, and Herald explosions fail to trigger. Unless the delirium mechanic undergoes changes, this limitation remains unsolvable, making spark archmage a better alternative for simulacrum-specific builds. The dual Herald Invoker demonstrates the potential depth and variety Path of Exile 2 offers, making the early access period both exciting and rewarding for theorycrafting enthusiasts. Leveling Tips Tuadh recommends starting with Glacial Cascade for leveling, but I found it underwhelming. Instead, sticking with Falling Thunder and Killing Palm until unlocking a level 5 skill gem for Tempest Flurry worked better for me. Results may vary depending on your playstyle. Skill Breakdown 1. Tempest Flurry Martial Tempo: +25% attack speed for supported skills. Lightning Infusion: Gain 25% extra lightning damage; deal 50% less cold and fire damage. Overcharge: +75% shock magnitude for supported skills. Rage: +3 rage on melee hit for supported skills. Main Function: Although Tempest Flurry is the primary attack skill, it’s not the primary damage source. The fourth attack in the sequence has high shock chance, which activates Herald of Thunder and enables Tempest Bell. Martial Tempo boosts attack speed for both, while Rage provides a useful stacking damage buff. 2. Tempest Bell Concentrated Effect: +40% area damage; -50% area of effect. Overabundance: +1 skill limit; -50% skill duration. Close Combat: +25% attack damage to enemies within 1 meter. Heavy Swing: +35% melee physical damage; -10% attack speed. Main Function: Tempest Bell is the ultimate boss killer. Build combo charges with Tempest Flurry, drop the bell, and keep attacking to freeze and shock enemies into submission. The skill’s impact locks bosses in place while dishing out massive damage. Plus, that satisfying “dong” sound adds flair to its devastating effects. 3. Herald of Thunder Primal Armament: +25% weapon elemental damage for supported skills. Lightning Mastery: +1 level for supported lightning skills. Longshot: +35% attack damage to distant enemies (>7m). Innervate: +35% lightning damage for three seconds after killing a shocked enemy. Main Function: Initially, pair Herald of Thunder with Primal Armament, Elemental Focus, and Lightning Infusion for AoE damage while leveling. Later, transition to support gems optimized for dual Heralds once you unlock the Polcirkeln ring and Ascendancy upgrades. 4. Profane Ritual Unleash: Supported spells gain seals and recast for each seal. Arcane Tempo: +25% cast speed for supported skills. Profusion: 50% chance to gain additional charges for supported skills. Main Function: Use Profane Ritual on corpses to gain power charges efficiently, often filling four charges in one cast. These charges fuel Charged Staff, amplifying damage and AoE significantly. Avoid leveling the skill beyond level 7, as the intelligence requirements escalate quickly. 5. Charged Staff Persistence: +40% skill effect duration for supported skills. Rising Tempest: +12% elemental damage for each recent skill of a different element. Lightning Exposure: Inflicts lightning exposure for 8 seconds on shocking an enemy. Conduction: +100% shock chance for supported skills. Main Function: Power charges activate this skill, transforming Tempest Flurry into a damage-dealing shockwave generator. Lightning Exposure enhances synergy, providing a massive multiplier for area-of-effect impact. 6. Defensive Skills Wind Dancer Clarity: +30% mana regeneration for supported skills. Blind: 100% chance to blind enemies on hit for supported skills. Ghost Dance Herbalism: Enhanced life recovery from flasks while supported skills are active. Precision: +30% accuracy rating for supported skills. Function: Wind Dancer boosts evasion if you’ve avoided damage for some time, while Ghost Dance recovers energy shields when struck, creating an effective defensive balance. 7. Grim Feast Cannibalism: Recovers 4% life on kills while supported skills are active. Function: Grim Feast lets you consume spirits from fallen enemies to recover energy shield, even overflowing your shield pool for extra durability. It’s so strong that a nerf may be imminent. 8. Herald of Ice Cold Penetration: 30% cold resistance penetration for supported skills. Cold Mastery: +1 level for supported cold skills. Magnified Effect: +40% area of effect for supported skills. Execute: +40% damage with hits against low-life enemies. Function: Herald of Ice creates icy explosions upon killing frozen enemies, delivering devastating AoE effects. Unlocking the Polcirkeln ring and Ascendancy node I am the Blizzard enables its full potential, lowering the cold damage threshold needed for shattering enemies. Conclusion This build combines offensive prowess, defensive synergy, and explosive crowd control to dominate nearly all aspects of the game. While simulacrum presents challenges due to corpse mechanics, the combination of Tempest Flurry and dual Heralds excels in pinnacle content, making it a rewarding choice for players who value versatility and impact. • Lightning Spear Huntress Build Guide (0.2) - POE 2Posted: Apr 13,2025

In the ever-evolving landscape of Path of Exile 2, the 0.2 meta might feel more restricted than longtime fans are accustomed to, but that doesn't mean it's short on powerful builds. Among the top contenders sits the Lightning Spear Huntress, a flashy, fast-paced archetype that's both accessible and devastating when properly built. Introduced in the Dawn of the Hunt update, the Huntress class was designed to shine with spear weapons, and nowhere is that synergy more evident than with this electrifying crit-based build. The Huntress stands out not only for its aesthetic but for its streamlined synergy with Critical Strike mechanics. One of her early Ascendancy nodes provides an enormous bump to Critical Strike Chance, making her an ideal candidate for a crit-based Lightning Spear setup. This combination results in a screen-clearing storm of piercing bolts that feel more like channeling Zeus than any traditional ARPG build. Created in part by popular theorycrafter Asmodeous, this build has quickly climbed to prominence in the limited but exciting 0.2 meta. Core Mechanics and Scaling The Lightning Spear Huntress leverages several layers of scaling, which adds some complexity but also allows for meaningful progression. While you'll benefit from general Attack Damage and Projectile modifiers, the build's real backbone is Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance, and Critical Strike Multiplier. These are the pillars of your passive tree, with Shock chance and Penetration also playing supportive roles in boosting your damage output. When planning your passive tree, it's wise to prioritize clusters that provide both offense and utility. Speed not only fuels your DPS but also helps with mobility, a key factor in staying alive. Nodes that increase Accuracy are also crucial, especially in early and mid-game, where missing attacks can drastically lower your damage uptime. Defensive Layers Survivability in Path of Exile 2 is somewhat more streamlined than in the original game, but it's still something to keep in mind. The Lightning Spear Huntress relies on Evasion and positioning more than armor or block, so picking up Evasion-based gear and passive nodes is essential. Wind Dancer, one of the stronger defensive gems in the game, is a natural fit, reducing the damage you take if you haven't been hit recently—perfect for an agile, ranged playstyle. Additionally, a passive investment into reduced Slowing Potency of Debuffs can make a noticeable difference in sticky encounters. That said, some players may prefer to spec into Ailment resistance nodes like Shedding Skin, depending on how aggressive or cautious they like to play. The flexibility here is a welcome change and allows for subtle build personalization without needing a full respec. Leveling Strategy One of the Lightning Spear Huntress’s major advantages is that you can level with the build itself. No convoluted skill-swapping or temporary reworks are needed. This makes the process much smoother, especially for players who dislike needing to "pivot" midway through the campaign. Just follow your planned tree, skewing toward defensive nodes if you find yourself struggling with survivability at any stage. Alternating between offense and defense tends to be the most efficient path. Weapon upgrades are crucial during the leveling process. Check vendors frequently, as they can often sell powerful spears that outperform what you might find from monster drops. Look for affixes like flat Physical or Elemental Damage, Attack Speed, Accuracy, and Critical Strike Multiplier. Early on, Iron Rings can help push your elemental damage, and gloves with attack speed are a strong pickup as well. Gearing Considerations In terms of item bases, the build is flexible. Utility Belt and Emerald Ring bases offer nice synergies—particularly the latter for increased Dexterity and critical synergy. However, don't get too hung up on optimal bases while leveling. Resistance Rings may be necessary to patch up your elemental resistances, especially heading into tougher acts or bosses. That’s fine—optimization can come later once your core gear is solid. Endgame gearing will, as always, hinge heavily on your weapon. It’s your biggest damage multiplier, so prioritize investing your crafting currency there. Even a rare spear with the right affixes can carry you far. Later on, consider experimenting with crafted mods or gear-swapping for bossing versus mapping. In summary, the Lightning Spear Huntress stands as one of the most viable and satisfying builds in Path of Exile 2's current 0.2 environment. With its blend of speed, flashiness, and critical-based gameplay, it offers something both accessible for newer players and deep enough for veterans to theorycraft around. Whether you’re looking to dominate maps or stylishly delete bosses, this is a build that delivers on all fronts—lightning fast, and lightning strong. • How to Get and Use Rhoa MountPosted: Apr 12,2025

In Path of Exile 2, the world is vast, dangerous, and filled with winding paths and treacherous enemies. Whether you’re clearing zones at a rapid pace or desperately searching for an exit through a maze of enemies, having a mount dramatically enhances your mobility. That’s where the Rhoa Mount comes in—a fierce, raptor-like beast that not only offers blistering speed but also supports you in battle. Here's everything you need to know about unlocking and mastering the Rhoa Mount. What is the Rhoa Mount? The Rhoa Mount is a late-game skill that allows you to summon and ride a swift, bipedal beast resembling a raptor. Once summoned, your character mounts the Rhoa, drastically increasing your movement speed. What makes the mount even more valuable is that you can use ranged attacks—such as bow or spear skills—while riding, with no penalty to movement. This means you can stay mobile and evasive without sacrificing your offensive capabilities. It's a powerful tool for navigating the endgame quickly and safely, especially in high-density maps where standing still can be deadly. How to Unlock the Rhoa Mount Unlocking the Rhoa Mount requires commitment to the Bow skill tree and reaching a certain point in the game’s progression. Here are the exact requirements: Skill Tier: 14 Character Level: 58 Dexterity Requirement: 151 Strength Requirement: None Intelligence Requirement: None Resource Reservation: 60 Spirit Skill Type: Spirit (Spirit-type ability) Given the tier and level requirements, you’ll most likely unlock the Rhoa Mount after completing the main story campaign, making it especially relevant for endgame content like maps, bosses, and timed objectives. This also means it’s generally targeted at ranged dexterity-based characters, such as bow users or spear-focused builds. How to Use the Rhoa Mount After unlocking the skill, you can equip it to your hotbar like any other active ability. Summoning the mount immediately places your character on its back, allowing you to sprint through zones at high speed. While riding, you can: Use bow or spear attacks freely Maintain full mobility while dealing damage Maneuver easily through tight combat areas or dangerous map layouts There is no movement penalty while attacking on the mount, which gives it a huge advantage over traditional mobility options like Blink or Dash, which have cooldowns and can interrupt attack chains. Post-Mount Combat: Rhoa as a Companion One of the most unique aspects of the Rhoa Mount is what happens after you dismount. The mount doesn’t simply vanish—instead, it remains active on the battlefield as a combat companion, similar to a summoned minion. While active, the Rhoa: Automatically attacks enemies in your vicinity Draws aggro away from you Deals meaningful damage over time This makes it a versatile skill—not only for transportation and repositioning but also for sustained support in battle. Even for builds that prefer staying at range, having a durable and aggressive ally on the frontline can make a noticeable difference in survivability. Beware the Stagger Meter As powerful as the Rhoa Mount is, it comes with a built-in risk mechanic—the stagger meter. While riding the mount, you’re exposed to stagger accumulation whenever you take damage. If this stagger meter fills up: You’ll be forcibly dismounted Your character will be stun-locked momentarily You may become extremely vulnerable, often leading to death in high-pressure situations Because of this, the mount is not a free pass to ignore damage or rush through deadly encounters. Smart players will dismount before their stagger meter becomes dangerous, or use defensive tools (like evasion, resistance flasks, or damage mitigation auras) to reduce incoming damage and avoid being knocked off. Why the Rhoa Mount is a Game-Changer The Rhoa Mount is more than just a flashy mobility skill—it fundamentally changes how you approach endgame content. With faster zone traversal, mobile ranged damage output, and post-dismount support, it streamlines mapping and speeds up farming runs. It also enhances build variety, as many ranged characters can incorporate the mount without sacrificing key damage nodes or utility skills. Whether you’re a veteran looking to optimize your map clears or a new player pushing into the endgame for the first time, unlocking the Rhoa Mount is a milestone worth aiming for. Just remember: with great speed comes great responsibility—manage that stagger meter carefully, and this ferocious raptor might just be your best ally in Wraeclast. • A Guide to the Secrets in the Dark Quest from Path of Exile 2.Posted: Apr 11,2025

Path of Exile 2 immerses players in an enigmatic world of mystery and darkness. Every quest deepens the intrigue, unveiling more questions than answers, and each new area presents increasing peril. The game’s lore and atmosphere immediately envelop players in the somber reality of the people’s struggles, evident from the moment Renly tasks you with slaying the Devourer. Following this grim encounter, the journey continues with the "Secrets in the Dark" quest. In this mission, you are tasked with traveling through three perilous areas to uncover the tragic tale of Count Geonor and his descent into madness. Secrets in the Dark: Clearfell and the Grelwood This quest begins in the Clearfell encampment, where Una reveals the chaos ignited by Count Geonor’s ill-fated expedition to the Grelwood. She urges you to explore the area for clues, leading to the first objective: Travel through Clearfel to the Grelwood. Clearfell, positioned just beyond a safe zone, serves as the gateway to Grelwood. Despite the randomized map layouts in Path of Exile 2, Clearfell remains static—progress northeast to locate the Grelwood entrance. Once inside Grelwood, your objective shifts to uncovering evidence of Count Geonor’s activities. While navigating this unpredictable terrain, always aim for the central area, home to the Tree of Souls and a nearby Waypoint. At the Tree of Souls, Una instructs you to proceed to the Red Vale, decipher its runes, and return with them to Renly. The Red Vale: Unveiling the Obelisks of Rust To locate the Red Vale’s entrance, head in the opposite direction of your Grelwood entry point. Upon arrival, your mission evolves: Search the Red Vale for Obelisks of Rust containing Runes of Power. Three Obelisks of Rust are scattered across the central region, often divided by a river. If you encounter Refined Arms nearby, you’re on the right path. Be prepared—while the first two Obelisks summon waves of enemies, the final Obelisk will unleash the Rust King alongside additional foes intent on overwhelming your character. Returning to the Tree of Souls After defeating the Rust King and gathering the runes, deliver them to Renly. He crafts three Rune Spikes, prompting your next objective: Return to the Grelwood. Utilize the Spikes to pierce the Tree of Souls’ Runic Seals. Upon completing this task, head back to the Clearfell encampment and report to Una, concluding the "Secrets in the Dark" quest and unlocking the "Mysterious Shade" storyline. • Path of Exile 2's latest patch notes are so bewilderingly vast I got a sicko to help translatePosted: Apr 08,2025

The new Path of Exile 2 patch notes are so massive they could crush a man. I needed a certified PoE degenerate (shoutout to PCG’s Russell Adderson) to help translate the chaos. The verdict? Everything got nerfed. Normally, you’d see a wall of patch notes, mutter "Ain’t nobody got time for that," and close the tab. But not me—I had to summarize the carnage. So I summoned Russell, who dove into the notes like a man possessed, occasionally resurfacing to DM me gems like: "HAHAHAHAHA… They couldn’t fix Grim Feast, so they just DELETED it." RIP, Grim Feast. Pour one out. The Biggest Changes (and Meltdowns) Chronomancer got tweaked, but Russell’s verdict? "Still unplayable. F in the chat for my most-hyped ascendancy." Portals are back (mostly)! Early maps give you the full six, scaling down in endgame. "WE HAVE OUR PORTALS BACK, BABY!" Corruption areas no longer auto-scale +1 level but now roll juicier modifiers. "Interesting… Did they shift where perfect Jeweler’s Orbs drop?" Logout cheese? Patched. "RIP hardcore players." Ailment threshold halved. "Ooooooof." Shields might finally be viable. "GGG really wants us to block instead of dodge." Heavy stuns now last 3 seconds. (Cue the 😬 emoji.) Conversion math changes? "RIP Everlasting Gaze ammy." Skill Nerfs: The Bloodbath Invoker got lightly tapped but "should still slap—unless ES got dumpstered." Stormweaver got wrecked. "Losing the 4% mana nodes? ROOOOOOUGH." Mana costs for attacks dropped. "Maybe now I can max Ice Strike without bricking my build." Jewel sockets removed from the passive tree. "HAHAHAHAHA, NO MORE ADORNED ABUSE. GOTTEM." Blink is now a travel skill. "SIX WORDS FOR THIS CHANGE?! I HAVE QUESTIONS." Hexblast? "HAMMERED." Lightning Conduit lost 80% damage—but "it’s probably still good, lol." Freeze mechanics overhauled. "This is HUGE." Detonate Dead, Spark, Raging Spirits, Tempest Bell? "All nerfed into the ground." Mana Tempest finally fixed. "I KNEW it was broken! I wasn’t crazy!" (You’re not, Russell.) Quality-of-Life Wins Raging Spirits might not melt your PC anymore. Spark got "squashed like a bug," so Sorceress leveling just got harder. Herald skills can’t trigger on-kill effects from other Herald kills. "This change is so big it’s hard to explain." Chase uniques got obliterated: Astramentis, Howa, Everlasting Gaze—"all hammered." Rune tiers added, but "GIVE US A STASH TAB FOR THEM, COWARDS." Crossbows got buffed. "Maybe someone will actually shoot one now instead of using it as a grenade stat stick." Endgame & Progression Tweaks Drop rates improved, especially early-game. Pinnacle boss unlocks cut in half. "Huge change—no more grinding for Breachstones/Simulacra." Dodge roll tweaked so mobs can’t corner-lock you as easily. Checkpoints expanded, fixing sloggy missions (like Act 2’s Dreadnought). "Haha, they nerfed Dreadnought XP. RIP speedrunners." The Big Picture GGG is cracking down on PoE2’s endgame becoming too much like PoE1—where broken builds trivialized fights. As Russell puts it: "The campaign felt tense—I had to learn mechanics, struggle, adapt. But by T15s? I was just facerolling maps at mach speed." This patch is GGG’s statement: PoE2’s endgame should be hard. And now? It will be.

  • Path of Exile 2: Best Spear Skills, RankedPosted: Apr 07,2025

Path of Exile 2's first major update, Dawn of the Hunt, introduces a wealth of new content, headlined by a brand-new class and an all-new league for players to dive into. Among the standout additions are mystical wisps, rideable mounts, and more. At the core of this update is the introduction of the Huntress, a dexterity-focused class that specializes in wielding a spear and buckler. Alongside her debut comes an entirely new category of skill gems centered around spear techniques. While the Huntress shares a starting point with the Ranger on the redesigned passive skill tree, she brings a unique playstyle focused on agile, tactical combat—fluidly shifting between close-quarters strikes and ranged assaults. For players looking to craft a Spear-focused Huntress build, Dawn of the Hunt offers a wide array of new skills to experiment with. Even within the Spear skill category, there’s a surprising amount of versatility—ranging from elemental abilities like Lightning Spear, to melee bleed-centric attacks such as Rake, and powerful stun-based skills that synergize with the Huntress’s unique parry mechanic. If you're unsure where to begin, here’s a breakdown of the most impactful and exciting Spear skills introduced in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. 1. Spear Of Solaris Skill Gem Level: 13 Mana Cost: 47 Base Attack Damage: 523% Spear of Solaris stands out as the highest-damage ability in the Spear skill lineup—but unlocking its full potential takes some setup. When equipped, this skill allows players to build Glory each time they land a heavy stun on an enemy, as indicated by the bar beneath the target’s health. Thanks to the Huntress’s reliable access to heavy stuns through her parry mechanic, Spear of Solaris becomes a devastating burst option. Once enough Glory has been accumulated, it unleashes a massive attack—making it an ideal finisher for tougher encounters, especially boss fights. 2.Thunderous Leap Skill Gem Level: 9 Mana Cost: 26 Base Attack Damage: 212% Thunderous Leap is a powerful level 9 attack skill that doubles as an exceptional mobility tool. It propels the Huntress forward in a pole-vaulting motion, allowing players to quickly cover large distances across the battlefield. For those building around elemental damage, the skill’s high base attack and lightning damage conversion already make it an attractive option. But beyond raw damage, its utility as a movement skill—combined with its role as a detonator—makes it a must-have for virtually any Huntress build. 3. Bloodhunt Skill Gem Level: 7 Mana Cost: 10 Base Attack Damage: 85% Blood Hunt is a cornerstone skill for Huntress builds centered around bleed damage. At its core, it’s a lunging stab with moderate base power—but its true strength lies in its interaction with bleeding enemies. When striking a target already afflicted by bleed, Blood Hunt triggers a blood explosion, dealing bonus area damage and consuming the bleed effects on the target. For players building around bleed mechanics, this is the skill that really ties everything together. Not only does it offer a satisfying damage spike, but it also excels at spreading AoE damage across groups of enemies, making it both a tactical and thematic centerpiece for bleed-based Huntress builds. 4. Barrage Skill Gem Level: 5 Mana Cost: 16 Base Attack Damage: N/A Barrage is a versatile support skill that now works with both Spears and Bows, making it a top pick for Huntress players looking to emphasize ranged spear throws. While the description might seem a bit unclear at first, its function is straightforward: it enhances ranged attacks by making them fire multiple projectiles in quick succession. When activated, Barrage causes the next ranged skill to repeat automatically—twice by default, with extra repeats if the player has Frenzy Charges. Although these additional hits deal 50% reduced damage, they still represent a substantial boost in total output, essentially providing free bonus damage on every ranged attack. For any Huntress leaning into hybrid or ranged combat, this skill is practically essential. 5. Storm Lance Skill Gem Level: 5 Mana Cost: 11 Base Attack Damage: 85% For Huntress players building around elemental damage, Storm Lance is a natural follow-up to Lightning Spear. This skill allows you to drive an electrified spear into the ground, creating a static field that periodically zaps nearby enemies over time. At the end of its duration, the spear detonates, leaving behind shocked ground that continues to damage enemies caught within it. It's a powerful area-control tool that not only adds sustained elemental damage but also helps control the flow of combat—perfect for builds that want to dominate the battlefield with lightning. 6.Rapid Assault Skill Gem Level: 5 Mana Cost: 15 Base Attack Damage: 36% Rapid Assault unleashes a flurry of quick strikes that not only inflict bleed on enemies but also embed a spearhead into each target. These lodged spearheads aren’t just cosmetic—they become explosive payloads when triggered by a Detonator skill, dealing AoE damage around the afflicted enemy. This skill shines as a key part of a bleed-focused rotation, offering both single-target pressure and setup for larger area damage. However, its true potential is only unlocked when paired with a detonator, meaning it’s best suited for more complete, synergized builds that can fully capitalize on the spearhead mechanic. 7. Rake Skill Gem Level: 3 Mana Cost: 2 Base Attack Damage: 61% Rake is one of the most reliable bleed applications in the Huntress’s arsenal, guaranteeing a bleed proc on any enemy it hits. What makes it even more versatile is its function as a travel skill—when used, it causes the Huntress to dash forward toward nearby enemies. If Rake travels its full distance before connecting with a target, it deals up to 100% bonus damage, rewarding smart positioning and aggressive engagement. It’s an excellent tool for initiating fights, closing gaps, and maintaining consistent bleed uptime—making it a staple in any bleed-oriented Huntress build. • New Crafting Methods in Path of Exile 2 Dawn of the HuntPosted: Apr 01,2025

Fracturing Orbs Patch 0.2.0, Dawn of the Hunt, introduces several new crafting mechanics in Path of Exile 2, aimed at providing players with more control over their gear progression. Among these additions, Fracturing Orbs stand out as a revolutionary crafting currency that allows for more precise item customization. These orbs enable players to lock in a specific modifier permanently, ensuring that their most valuable affixes remain intact. However, Fracturing Orbs can only be applied to items with at least four modifiers, introducing a layer of strategic risk. Once a modifier is fractured, it remains immutable, giving players the opportunity to refine the rest of the item’s attributes without fear of losing critical bonuses. These orbs are acquired through slaying monsters in Cleansed areas of the endgame, making them a valuable yet challenging resource to obtain. The Power of Recombinators Another major addition to Path of Exile 2’s crafting system is Recombinators, a powerful tool that allows players to merge two items together, extracting and preserving desirable affixes while discarding undesirable ones. This method grants more agency over item creation, reducing the reliance on high-risk crafting methods such as pure chance-based rolling or trading. Recombinators allow for creative gear combinations, offering opportunities to generate hybrid items with unique and powerful affix setups. Unlike previous crafting mechanics, which often required significant investment in Exalted Orbs or Divine Orbs, Recombinators provide a more accessible path to high-tier customization, making the process of gearing up smoother for both casual and hardcore players alike. Azmeri Runes and Enhanced Socketables A completely new type of socketable item, Azmeri Runes, has been introduced to Path of Exile 2, further expanding the depth of character customization. These runes, obtainable by hunting beasts affected by Asmeri Wisps, offer more potent effects compared to traditional runes, allowing players to fine-tune their builds with greater efficiency. The Azmeri Runes provide a broader range of effects, catering not only to physical damage-dealing characters but also to spellcasters and summoners. This addition ensures that every archetype benefits from the new crafting mechanics, enhancing the flexibility of gearing choices while reducing the need to rely on the trade market to acquire specific modifiers. Impact on Player Economy and Trading The introduction of these crafting methods is poised to shift the Path of Exile 2 economy significantly. Traditionally, high-end gear progression has been dictated by item drops and trading, often requiring players to interact heavily with the Trade Site to acquire best-in-slot items. With Fracturing Orbs, Recombinators, and Azmeri Runes, players now have the ability to craft items tailored to their specific needs rather than relying on luck or market availability. This shift may lead to a decrease in demand for pre-crafted high-end items, as more players will be able to self-sufficiently upgrade their gear. However, the rarity of these crafting items will likely sustain a vibrant trade economy for those willing to farm and sell these valuable resources. Conclusion: A New Era of Customization Patch 0.2.0 brings a transformative approach to item crafting in Path of Exile 2, making the game’s gearing process more interactive and rewarding. The introduction of Fracturing Orbs, Recombinators, and Azmeri Runes provides players with a diverse set of tools to optimize their builds without being overly dependent on trading. By granting greater control over item modification, Grinding Gear Games has ensured that players can engage more meaningfully with their character progression while still maintaining a challenging and rewarding crafting ecosystem. As players delve into the new patch, the evolving meta and player-driven economy will determine how these mechanics shape the game’s long-term landscape.
